Thinking about urbanisation is – for me – a daily concern. As we live in cities, small towns, or even in the country side, urbanisation is everywhere and rules our days and night.
I’ve decided to think about Mexican urbanisation after one of our yearly trips, where it strucked me : what I saw two years earlier changed already, massively, not only like what I’d been able to see and understand in Europe.
Everything had change, a new neighborhood replaced a path of sierra, two malls were now taking place on a fringe of the city we used to go, new roads, new infrastructure, and for the first time in years, I heard my family talking about water scarcity, electricity power outage…
So, I have started wondering how and why this changes occured so quickly, and decided to focus my work on this.
You will find on this blog my first results, my first thoughts, and some other things that make Querétaro a perfect example of rapid urbanisation, and how this city can manage its problematics in a near future.
